Amazing food and beautiful service. He spoke to us English and gave recommendations that we followed and were very happy with! The steak was juicy and delicious, the seafood was absolutely with seafood and the cake was to die. Recommended full-hearted! View all feedback.
What Sara Coelho doesn't like about Restaurante Assador Típico:
Food was good value for money, but service was not the same compared with the locals. The also tried to charge us for the olives we haven’t touched neither we have ordered. View all feedback.
If you want authentic Portuguese cuisine in Porto, this is the place to go. We had Picanha with black beans rice and chips. In addition, a portion of chorizo and bottle of Papa Figo to wash it. The waitress was fantastic. The restaurant was full of people 10 minutes after we had set ourselves and as far as I could say that each of them was Portuguese. We booked again in two more nights and can not wait to go.

It was the best steak ever, so tender and juicy!!! The 1/2 part was sooo much, but really generous and the price was more than affordable!
Amazing portions of incredible food. This does not feel very touristy, but it feels established. It is a huge place, although it looks inconvenient from the outside. The service was great, the food amazing, and definitely worth the cost I found reasonable. I had serious remnants. Be warned, they charge you for all appetizers that you eat, including butter, even if you do not ask for them and they may appear free of charge. It may be normal, but a bit surprising.
The staff was great, the food was very good, but the potato was not great.
