Cathay Garden - Portage

It was my first time visiting this restaurant. I went with my stepdaughter and fiancé. We ordered egg drop soup, which was tasty, although my stepdaughter was surprised by its orange color. The fried rice wasn’t the best, but the rest of the food was fantastic. I definitely plan to return in the near future. The picture shows what we ordered, and we also placed a to-go order for my other stepdaughter so she could take it to work.

**Location and Surroundings:** This restaurant is nestled in a beautiful spot right in the city center, although it can be easy to overlook amidst the hustle and bustle of nearby shops. Fortunately, there's a great sign out front to guide you in. Ample street parking is available, including spots around the side of the building. Upon entering, you'll find a clean and fresh atmosphere. **Service and Atmosphere:** The service was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. On a quiet Monday evening, the ambiance was serene, with lovely decorations and soothing water fountains adding to the tranquility. **Food and Drinks:** The food was delicious, and I can confidently say the egg rolls were the best I’ve ever tasted! While some items may not have been homemade, they were still enjoyable. However, I think they could expand their drink menu to include more alcoholic options. Freshwater is provided as well. Overall, this place is a beautiful spot to savor authentic Chinese cuisine. Be sure to stop by if you get the chance!

The dishes were incredibly delicious, expertly prepared with exceptionally fresh ingredients! I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch!
