What Mich Pete doesn't like about Foxy's:
I visited the restaurant hoping for a cheeseburger cooked medium. It was quite busy because of a meat raffle happening that day. Unfortunately, when my cheeseburger arrived, it was still raw in the middle. When my server, Robin, finally came to check on me, she insisted it was medium. She didn't even ask if I needed anything else, and my water glass was empty. Her demeanor was quite curt, which was disappointing for... View all feedback.
Her demeanor was quite curt, which was disappointing for a server. I had to ask multiple times for my bill, but she didn't respond, so I had to go look for her. Overall, the service was terrible!
This is a fantastic spot for enjoying good food and spending time with friends. I'm from Chicago, and whenever we go camping at Lake Mason, we always make it a point to stop by for amazing food and drinks. I can't wait to return this week!
On Wednesdays, Foxy's offers a fantastic wing special that features the best wings and prices in the area. Their burgers are also excellent, and their Friday night fish fry is the best you can find around. You get generous portions of baked or broiled cod, accompanied by huge corn fritters, potatoes, and coleslaw.
The bartenders are fantastic, and I had no trouble getting service. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
I had a wonderful and quick casual lunch at this restaurant. The bar and dining area were clean. However, the entrance was a bit confusing for someone visiting for the first time, as both open signs were off, but they were indeed open. The main entrance features a nice handicap ramp. It's also conveniently located right across the street from a boat launch, making it easy to grab a quick bite before or after boating activities. Both the patrons and staff were friendly. I definitely plan to return. The bar top is particularly unique, covered in thousands of pennies from 1984, which is pretty cool! Overall, I give the food a 5 out of 5.
