Sal's Italian - Port St. Lucie

I grew up eating Sals in Palm Beach County and always loved it so I was thrilled when one was opened here. I went for lunch one day with my kids and it was great. Decided to go back about 2 weeks later for dinner with my daughter, the experience was NOT the same. It was a rainy Friday night, they weren 't too busy. We sat down and ordered right away. The soup and garlic rolls arrived quickly. We were sat right next to where the take out orders are picked up so we had a doordash driving standing so close to us he might as well have sat down, ok no big deal. Then my daughter 's food comes, she ordered a chicken and spinach panini didn 't look like a traditional panini but didn 't look bad either. She began to eat while I waited a bit longer for my food to come. I could tell she wasn 't really into her sandwich so I asked her what was wrong, she said it was very bland so we asked for a side of pesto sauce, still didn 't help it much. The fresh mozzarella wasn 't melted and it was like a giant mound of unseasoned spinach on top of a small amount of chicken. When the server came back she asked if we wanted boxes I told her only for my food because my daughter didn 't really care for hers as it was quite bland, she said no problem I 'm going to have the manager come over here. She returns a few minutes later and tells us "the manager does not want to come talk to you guys ' instead decided a free cannoli the size of my thumb would be appropriate. I wasn 't looking to get anything for free or even to complain really but when the server told me the manager just didn 't want to deal with us I was appalled. The manager, a skinny Old lady with red and black hair could be seen walking around doing absolutely nothing, the most I saw her do was converse with the doordash drivers. The worst part is that when I told the server that it was disgraceful to see a manager act like that...SHE AGREED and continued to say nobody cares for her and that she was extremely unprofessional....THIS IS COMING FROM THE STAFF OF SALS!!!! When I went to leave, the wonderful manager was sitting in the FRONT of the restaurant chatting it up on the phone and smoking a cigarette. GET IT TOGETHER SALS!!! There are many people from down south moving this way and would love to enjoy a familiar restaurant but that manager will run that place to the ground in no time!!!

Staff is pleasant during take out experience. Food is always ready on time. Pizza topping costs are high. $3.75 per topping to build your own pizza is quite expensice.

Went for lunch/dinner Service was terrible as was the meal. I had Veal Parm and the portion was half what it used to be. I thought it was the lunch portion, nope the dinner one. Price went up, I guess new owners. Macaroni not even cooked. Lost my business. Place only had a few customers and I couldn't even have the waitress come by to fill my drink. OUCH

We were visiting relatives in Port St Lucie recently (August c 2023) and decided to take them to Sal's since they said the food was good there. The server sat us so close to the door that anytime someone left they had to brush right behind usThat was the first thing that rubbed us the wrong way. Next, prices are a little high for what you get. Margarita Pizza was good. My husband had chicken marsala and the chicken was very dry. Upon using the restroom, I was shocked at the filthy floor! The bathroom was a mess. Actually the entire place seemed dirty. The floor under our table was dirty as well. Wonder what the kitchen looks like?? Wde will not return if we ever visit there again, and probably neither will the 4 relatives that were eating with us. They live in Port St.Lucie!! CLEAN UP YOUR ACT SAL'S OR YOU WON'T LAST VERY LONG!!

Pizza was alright, service was amazing but the garlic rolls were really disappointing. Especially if you're looking for a delicious garlic knot.
