The food service were fantastic! Our greeting was incredibly warm and welcoming despite us turning up without a booking and it being peak time. We ordered the Tempranillo, gambas, croquettes 2 x Japanese cut steak. The steak was one of the best steaks we’ve had in a long time, later found out that it is a Basque cow of 10-14 years, phenomenal taste! Great location and accommodating, friendly owner and staff. Visited twice and enjoyed our time there. The starters were superb, in particular the calimari sticks with alioli. However, it was a mixed bag on quality of mains. Good kids meals, nice fish and chicken skewers, but very poor entrecôte steak (sirloin) which had a very large amount of hard fat/grissle, accompanied by a tiny potato. The waiter did apologise but it shouldn't have left the kitchen/pass really and was clearly sub-standard. This was disappointing as the steaks had looked far better earlier this month, so maybe just bad luck or a different supplier? Definitely recommend trying it and book ahead if possible as it gets busy. Kid-friendliness: Very happy to have kids dine there and all the staff very friendly.
