The pies are bought in, however the Thai vegetable curry pie is delicious A lovely cafe to grab a quick bite to eat- sandwiches, pies, ciabatta, crossiants and lots of sweet treats to have with coffee View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe Lords Bakery:
My wife and I went into Cafe Lords Bakery 28/12/16. A European gentleman had incorrectly ordered a flat white instead of a long black. The cafe staff were so rude to the gentleman telling him rather loudly that he ordered the wrong coffee and if he wants another that will be $4.50. He couldn't understand what the cafe staff member had said so she shouted in a very condescending manner $4.50. The man had just spent $3... View all feedback.
The man had just spent $37 on lunch for his partner and 2 daughters. In hindsight I wished I'd offer to pay for the new coffee. My wife and I walked out in disgust and had fabulous fish and chips across the road. Surely there is a better way to welcome tourists to our beautiful country than what the staff at Cafe Lords offered.
We visited this cafe recently and were very disappointed. Our order was messed up with a chicken wrap rather than the ordered chicken burger being served. To add insult to injury, the person delivering the food proceeded to explain to my wife how to eat the said wrap, instructing her to remove the paper wrapping as we went. We are in our 50's and found this patronising advice quite offensive. To add to the negative experience, our coffees were both cold and bitter, a little bit like our experience here.
I was embarrassed that my overseas visitor witnessed such rude service whilst visiting Australia. Why own a cafe if you can't even pretend to be welcoming and friendly. The two ladies in the cafe do not deserve a business. Admittedly we visited for a late lunch and they were starting to remove the sandwich making items from the serving area. No hello, how you going, what would you like. Just stares/rude looks
Walked in, staff seemed annoyed because they were outside enjoying a coffee, Asked if they had anything gluten free, the lady rudely said no, so I went outside while the rest of my family chose and sat down, Went to a fish and chip shop, and brought it back, didn't even begin to start eating it when the same lady raced up to me exclaiming 'no you can't eat that in here'. Very rude and will never be back there again. Shocking, and went back and complained to her.
Very ordinary customer service. "Sorry for ordering a coffee".... That's what I felt I had to say to the lady serving!! Coffee was ordinary as well. We didn't have any food but on a positive the slices looked great.
