Timboon Railway Shed Distillery

Quite possibly the best food around the great ocean road. To die for calamari with delicious trio of sauces. The mango ginger chutney was my favorite. The falafel was so so but quickly forgiven by the sinful chocolate hazelnut and coffee liquor mousse served with honeycomb and whiskey ice cream! Wow!

What a great surprise this distillery is. Whiskey is a fine blend that is smooth all the way down without that catch in the throat that denotes immaturity. Wonderful. A must stop on your twelve apostles weekend.

Timboon Distillery is one of my regular stops when I'm heading down the Great Ocean Road. Their food is great, and have a wonderful selection of Timboon Ice Cream to try, and have lots of local food items to purchase. As for their liquors (which is the other part of the business). They are great! My favourites are the Coffee Liquor (amazingly good and if anyone says its at all similar to Baileys or Kahlua I will punch), and definitely can appreciate their limoncello, and strawberry schnaps. They make an amazingly smooth scotch which is distilled on site, and casked on site, but is a bit too expensive for what it is (in my humble opinion)

This is one of the best stops you can treat yourself too on the local food trail. Great food service and atmosphere. Also did the whiskey tour which was very informative and delicious lunch to follow. Worth every dollar spent. Lovely staff very efficient and knowledgeable. Love the coffee cream too.we will return

Unfortunately not many positives from our visit here As we were travelling the 12 Apostle Gourmet Trail, this distillery was on the list.
