Jason's Deli - Port Arthur

I recommend trying the soups, salads, and sandwiches at this restaurant. However, I would suggest avoiding the gumbo if you are from the southern region. It lacks flavor and is mostly just rice.

Excellent customer service! The food is delicious and there is not a long wait when dining in.

I frequent this locarion in Port Arthur about 3 times a month or so. I often have the managers special Ham Muffaletta and fruit. I have noticed that if I visit during the business weekday the sandwich is full of meat and the olive ingredients Often hard to get my mouth around for the first bite. But if I visit on a Saturday it is a different experience. The sandwich is smaller with about half the meat and very little of the olive mixture. It just isn't as good on the weekend. No idea why there would be such a difference. But I definitely feel like I dont get my moneys worth on Saturdays. I may just stop coming on Saturdays to bypass the negative feeling about the experience.

Got takeout, the Mac and cheese is rancid, as soon as I took a bite it tasted like sour milk. I tried to call to get them to stop serving bad Mac and cheese but their phone is disconnected.

The food was delicious. However, the server who brought our food was impolite when we requested the extra sides of dressing we had ordered. This is the third time we have had a similar experience with her. On a positive note, everyone else is fantastic and friendly, particularly Mr. King.
