Restaurants like The Wine Rack often don’t receive positive reviews from those who have never ventured beyond their hometown, or even their state. The Wine Rack boasts an impressive menu with prices that are more affordable than many of its competitors. It's important to note that it's about quality over quantity here. However, if you're in search of budget beer and food, there’s a Burger King and a liquor store just across the street.
I believe this restaurant is a great addition to Poplar Bluff. The staff is friendly and the food is good; however, the prices are absolutely outrageous, which detracts from the overall experience. They charge you $10 just to drink a $100 bottle of wine, and regular Heineken costs $10, not including tip. A friend of mine ordered a beer, and the bartender only informed her after she took a sip that it was $16. During happy hour, everything is half off, which brings the prices down to what you'd find every day elsewhere. Honestly, I don’t understand how they manage to stay in business with such high prices. I wouldn’t pay that much for food and drinks at a sporting event or concert. Aside from that, it’s a nice establishment. But get it together, Wine Rack! This is Poplar Bluff, and you won't find prices like this even in New York City.
Restaurants like Wine Rack may not receive glowing reviews from those who have never ventured outside this city, and that's a shame. Wine Rack offers an extensive menu with lower prices than many competing establishments. Here, quality takes precedence over quantity. If you're just in the mood for a cheap beer and a meal, you might want to consider heading to Burger King or a local convenience store instead.
I think this is a nice addition to Poplar Beds. The staff are friendly and the food is good, but oh my gosh, the prices are outrageous! That really ruined the experience for me. You can buy a $100 bottle of wine, but they'll still charge you an extra $10 just to drink it there. A regular Heineken costs $10, not including tip. I had a friend who ordered a beer and wasn't informed until she took a sip that it was $16! Their happy hour prices are only slightly better than the regular daily rates. Honestly, I don't understand how they justify such high prices. I’ve never paid that much for food and drinks at a ball game or even a concert. Other than that, it's a beautiful place. However, they really need to get their pricing in check. It’s like they’re living in a bubble; there are so many better options in NYC.
