A favourite with locals as well as tourists,... read more David and family run this excellent traditional restaurant, we’ve been coming for 15 years and it is always superb. A favourite with locals as well as tourists, you are guaranteed an excellent meal here, Paella is particularly popular, especially for lunch. Grilled fish and squid are also excellent and leave room for some dessert, all home made by mum Antonia, I love the egg custard style deserts ‘pudding’ and ‘crema catalana’ highly recommended!

We returned on our last night in Pollenca we were so impressed with Bar Nou.

I had the salad to start, it was quite bland not very exciting , basic lettuce bowl , no dressings apart fro the usual oil and vinaigrette. I had pork as a mains, it was too undercooked for my liking and quite chewy. The sauce however was lovely as were the potatoes and mushrooms were also very good. I had two small profiteroles as desert, tasty and drizzled with a dark chocolate sauce. It was an ok experience , but a little disappointing compared to other restaurants in the area.
