Staff helpful and friendly and even advised us that we were ordering too much! A selection of tapas was very generous, the pica pica squids was tasty. The olives were pungent and sharp, possibly home preserved. Shared mains, shoulder of lamb was falling from the bone and the parmentiere potatoes were well done. Chose the stuffed aubergine also thinking it was vegetarian...wrong mincemeat with a tomato sauce. Red Rioja was exceedingly good value at €5:50, espresso great too. We were the only tourists...

The cifre maintains its standards the food is always first class served with no frills many locals use the place at lunch time which is a good sign the place is... read more The cifre maintains its standards the food is always first class served with no frills many locals use the place at lunch time which is a good sign the place is not very big so you may have to wait for a table but when you eat you will enjoy the local food it does make a change from salad and chips it is well worth a visit
