The food was good. Service was not so good. We asked for water and had to ask again. We asked for our chowder before the meal. We had to ask for it when our meal was served. When we left we realized we didn't get our Coleslaw. We asked for 2 checks. Wegot one. Our waitress got a minimal tip.

The outdoor seating was as nice as they could make it with the space available, however some solar lights would REALLY be a smart add. I feel badly for the waitstaff who have to make that trek over and over again. Regardless, our waitress wasAWESOME. Very kind and efficient. As we waited for our food, it got dark and we couldn't see our food by the time it wasdelivered and ate in the dark. The food was fine.

Visiting Maine from Phoenix, AZ. Played golf at Poland Springs with friend from S. Portland. This place was highly recommended by local friend. We were not disappointed. Glad that indoor dining resumed after Covid-19. We ate down stairs also availableto eat upstairs). Brandi C was our waitress. Excellent , knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. She catered to all our diningneeds. I ordered their Steak sub similar to Philly steak) with onion rings. Large portions. Parking is readily available onsite. Menu was diversified and great atmosphere. Great place to eat after playing golf 18 holes.

Well, having had a lovely experience at Cyndi 's a couple of years ago, we brought my son and his partner who were visiting us from Utah down this evening to give them the experience of a lobster dinner. The menu looked strangely barren, nothing at all like the one online. To our chagrin, we found out that the restaurant had been sold and was no longer Cyndi 's Dockside but rather Nonesuch River Brewery. And lobster (which you used to be able to select out of a tank, and which was part of the fun was nowhere to be found on the menu. They were able to provide me with a lobster roll on special, (with mayonnaise instead of drawn butter sadly, but it was not terrible. The rest of the food our party ordered was well prepared and tasty, and the portions were abundant, but it was just not what we were expecting. If I were to buy a restaurant, the very first thing I would do is get onto Google Maps and change the name and make sure the menu was up to date, as well as making sure the signage outside reflected the change of ownership. While we had a good meal, the contrast between expectation and reality was stark. Our dinner was just fine, but it wasn 't Cyndi 's and we 're not likely to go back because it 's just another brew pub now. Whatever bean counter was in charge of the transition was clearly not thinking the details through. Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten-free buns for their sandwiches.

We stopped in to Cyndi 's Dockside knowing that it had been bought out by Nonesuch Brewery. We have always enjoyed Cyndi 's food and staff. We were curious on what changes might have taken place. First when we arrived, there was no one there on a Friday evening which was surprising. It was always packed with happy smiling people when we went in the past. The food was still good. We were told the menu would be changing to be the same as the Scarborough location which concerned us as that menu is good but expensive for what you get. What surprised us was the unprofessionalism of the Waitress/Bartender that night. One, she stood about 6 feet away from us to get orders or checking in on us, like we had the plague. Two, she didn 't stop talking for two seconds and it was noticeable because she was loud. Three, the topic of her conversation with a bar customer was not a topic for people who are trying to eat their dinner. She was discussing issues with a dog daycare, where her dog got sick and had green buggers coming out of his nose, had bad diarrhea and vomiting . Four, she dropped the F bomb. Five, she was rambling on about the establishment who wouldn 't spend the money they should for t-shirts and hats, etc.If this is a common occurrence, then I understand why there were very few customers.
