We had a wonderful experience at Amandas on Friday night, especially thanks to our amazing waitress Tiara. Service went above and beyond.Food was divine, everyone enjoyed everything! Some favourites were the Scallops, Lamb special and the gnocchi. Price is reasonable for the area and the quality especially as they let you BYO. View all feedback.
What Eric Guajardo doesn't like about Amanda's on the Edge:
Amanda's was recommended to us for a great place to eat especially as we were vegetarian and they had a good menu. The starters were great, fresh and a good portion, the main (tofu curry) was ok, way too spicy for my husband. Downsides were you gas to pay $2.50 for a measly bread roll, unheard of! The service was slow and reactive with little or no interest in the guests. Food took over 70 minutes as well.Would never... View all feedback.
Set in what was clearly a rather humble home with the walls knocked out to create larger areas for dining and views to the vineyard, this was a great find.Friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff and great food - don't worry that it's not the posh look as you drive up, it is relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable

We have been coming to Amanda's over the last 9 years, whenever we come to the Hunter. This time with two small children for lunch as a romantic dinner seemed a bit of a stretch. Not a problem with kids though. Highchairs, colouring in kids menu and seating away from the main area so as not to disturb other guests was all considered. We were able to have our long leisurely lunch with wine whilst the kids ate their fish and chips. Coffee was outside in the garden, running around in the sheltered side of the building on an otherwise very windy day. Food was excellent as always, service friendly, and yes, we will return.

I had heard great things and Amanda's definitely didn't disappoint. We went with a large family group and everyone's meals were outstanding. Only negative was that it's a 2 course minimum on Sat eve, which given the size of the portions it was a challenge...More
