The portion sizes and prices of regular menu items might be a bit steep, but the quality of the food and service vary greatly. While some visitors have experienced long waits and subpar meals, others have enjoyed fantastic breakfasts and attentive service even when the restaurant was busy. Despite some negative experiences, standout staff members like Ian go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all customers, leaving a lasting positive impression.
Had mixed grill yesterday. The steak was tough and chewy, the chicken and gammon tasted like they were cooked in the same pan.The egg was hard and the little bit of salad looked like it had been picked up from the pavement. The best thing was the chips purely because if you want more then ask. We went in for lunch,it wasn't very busy but we're told by the reception desk we would have to wait ten minutes. We waited for and went back and were shown to a table by a waitress, the reception desk seemed to have forgotten about us! Even with the voucher, this was not good value and would have been really upset by paying full price.
Have had some bad service in my time, but this takes the biscuit. We booked a table for twelve noon, for eight people. We arrived at twelve exactly, and waited to be shown our table, and waited, and waited, and waited. A barman slicing some lemons, looked up, and saw us, looked away, and ignored us. This went on for several minutes, until I lost patience. I walked over to the barman, and asked if anyone was coming to book us in. “oh” he said, “I’ll see if any ones around”. We waited some more. Eventually some turned up, exhibiting a surly attitude. “We have only just opened “he replied when asked why we had waited so long. The time was now well past twelve noon. We decided that a line had been crossed, and we were not prepared to be treated in this way, so we cancelled and left. We were a party of eight, and the bill would have well over Not good enough Beefeater, no wonder you are getting such bad reviews on feedback, you will certainly be getting one from us.
We went on a sunday evening, therefore full price, we were put on a table in the middle of a walkthrough, with a large party on one side, and them eventually when our food arrived, the staff decided to move all the tables behind us to accomode another party. Long wait for food. We asked for the bill indicating we wanted to pay by card, the bill was brought, and after another long wait, he went to take the order for the part| (aprrox we eventually went and and paid someone else.
This beefeater is not very well located if you are looking for a night out as it located just off the Dual Carriageway through the city and there is nothing around it whatsoever apart from Sainsburys. Staff seem quite polite here although I did experience a grunt when I walked in with friends and had not booked. The restuarant is normally clean and tidy and the kitchen is open so you can see whats going on, there is sometimes a courses for ish going on which isnt bad value for money, but personally most of the regular prices dishes are expensive for the portion. All in all an OK place but if you want a feast, cheap meal or night out this is most likely not the best place.
This restaurnat is located just off Marsh Mills roundabout of the Lots of parking available and a hotel next door. Staff are really polite and friendly, prices are quite high but the standard of the food is very high aswell. They offer a mixed platter for starters where you can have a bit of everything. Main course has to be a sirloin steak, chip, peas and an optional peppercorn sauce. this is my favourite dish. If you have any room left for a dessert, an ice cream will clean your palate nicely. Parking is free, Drinks are fairly expensive in my opinion at the bar, a glass of coke is just under and a glass of wine about Overall a nice palce to eat, one downside is there is nothing else nearby so you would need a car or taxi to get to another bar or club.
