We had made a reservation for a table, but arrived a bit early. The restaurant had no issue seating us. I had a voucher that I had received online, but when we tried to use it on the app, it didn't work. The manager and waitress helped us out by manually processing the voucher. The food was delicious and served hot without much delay. We ordered two pizzas and sides, which made it a bit tight at our table for two, but we managed to make it work.
We will not be returning to this restaurant again. The service was terrible and my family and I all got sick afterwards. It seemed like children were running the place. When we asked a staff member a question, they would say they would be with us in a minute but never returned.
I would give this restaurant a higher rating if it weren't for Maggie. I visited with my family, who are now retired. We were not allowed to use our smartphones to order, but were assisted by Maggie in ordering the traditional way. However, Pizza Hut's dine-in experience is a thing of the past. There are no fish toppings or sparklers in desserts. This is why we tried two other Pizza Huts in Plymouth. Thank you to Maggie, but Pizza Hut's new focus seems to be transitioning to just an ordering service with limited seating.
We asked for two buffets, only to be told Pizza Hut don't include gluten free in with the buffet offer. So I ended up with a miserable looking inch GF pizza for I waited around minutes for this to arrive. The...cheese looked like it had been sprayed on, as it was that sparse! It's not acceptable to not be included in with the buffet. Surely I should have only been charged and had the option of a GF garlic bread and a GF pizza with plenty of toppings on. The place needed a good clean!
Our grandsons were staying with us. During the pandemic my husband and myself had been nowhere except walking outdoors so when I booked to go to the Pizza Hut with them I was concerned that it would be crowded and I would feel uncomfortable. I...booked for and we all had the buffet. The staff were friendly and asked if we would mind paying before the meal (by card). I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all no one crowded around the salad bar and it looked clean and tidy. No one queued at the buffet people waited their turn. Twice, someone accidentally dropped something on the floor and it was quickly cleaned up. The pasta was much nicer than what I’d had before (which, due to Covid was probably about two years ago)!
