"Dolly is the best employee I've ever encountered in a fast food restaurant. If the rest of the staff could learn from her, all these negative reviews would disappear.".
What User doesn't like about Panera Bread:
The food at this restaurant is overpriced; you could easily make the same sandwiches at home for less. The staff is rude, as are some of the customers. Overall, this is not a place where I would choose to spend any more money. View all feedback.
That's my favorite Panera bread. the layout is great because they can sit in front of the entrance of the people, observe or hang further behind in a remote stand for the private sphere. the workers are always happy to serve them and during the pandemic they have not changed their hours terrible as many other panera brote at the time or near the dining room.
Ordered cinnamon crunch bagel, lightly toasted, not easy to mess that up but, it must be quite some time since they've cleaned their toasting machine because my bagel came out with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and tasting like an everything bagel. If I wanted an everything bagel, I would have ordered an everything bagel. Then, I got two bowls of broccoli cheddar soup and it was for dinner for my 7 year old and I. Let me tell you, I'm so beyond disgusted by the soup. For how expensive a bowl of soup is at this place, I expect delicious soup and I didn't get anything close to this. It was watery, tasted sour, the broccoli was mush, it was disgusting and gross and just ruined dinner. I had to go get other food for us because it couldn't be eaten. I wasted $20+ on a bagel that didn't taste like what I'd wanted and two bowls of the absolute WORST soup I've ever had. I'm embarrassed for this Panera location. As usual though, I'm more than likely wasting my time and energy writing this because I won't get a response and if I did get a response, it'd be a please accept our sincerest apologies, and that's it. It's just sad that restaurants have no pride in what they serve to their customers anymore. Most likely, I won't return to this location and unfortunately, I'd say I will never return to any Panera but, that's not true; my son's favorite soup is the broccoli cheddar so, we'll be back at some point in the distant future.Side note--what in the world did they do to their chocolate chipper cookies? They're no longer the little mini chocolate chips they used to have and they're never warm and soft anymore. They're usually close to being burnt, have huge chunks of chocolate, and most disappointing is they're not soft and warm like they used to be. This Pleasant Hills location had the m&m cookies and I do wish I'd taken a picture cause they were so burnt and brown, they didn't look appealing at all. I'd rather go buy Grandma's Cookies in a gas station versus buying the Panera ones.Overall, Panera has just gotten to be no better than a typical McDonald's or Wendy's. That isn't what I expect when I spend that kind of money for food that's advertised to be much better than what is given.I included a picture of the bottom of the bagel that has sesame seeds and poppy seeds.
The manager Rebbeca was so unprofessional, she denied selling me 10 souffles because that would make her store run out of them. I told her I have a big family of ten people waiting for the souffle for breakfast but she still refused to sell me all the 10 souffles the store had because she wanted to leave some for other customers. That was so unprofessional and shocking to me because I consider this discrimination against large families, that means large families have no right to eat souffle because the manager prefers to sell souffles for individuals or smaller families only, really? I really don't understand how that employee became a manager from the first place, I am a Panera bread regular customer for over 5 years and when I order from other locations in Grove road and in the Galleria they always sell me whatever souffle they have if I ask to buy all of them. That manager in Panera bread in Clariton is unprofessional and what she has done this morning was not supposed to happen. I understand that if I need more than what the store has I can order 24 hours in advance but that never meant that I get denied buying whatever the store have available at the moment of purchase. I always visit galleria store and grove store and buy all the souffle they have and no one complains about it, as a customer I have to order whatever I want and the store should sell the product as long as the product is available without any restrictions as I believe Panera has nothing in it's policy restricting the quantity they sell for each customer. I believe the manager took the decision of refusing to sell me the 10 souffles the store got based on her emotions and personal point of view only but not based on a business and a professional manner. The Clariton store lost me as a customer and the owner of the store lost money because of that unprofessional manager. I will report that incident to Panera corporation or the headquarters for addressing.
Great staff, good food, convenient location. I just wish they would take care of the mold on the ceiling by the front window. I gave it four stars anyway because I don't know if that's the landlord the management or their corporate office but I hope that one of them will fix it soon. Major health hazard especially for their employees who are there all the time giving us customers such great service. Thanks for your dedication **UPDATEThe moldy ceiling tiles are replaced! Thanks so much for responding to my request so quickly.
The staff is very friendly...the food is good but the only problem is that allot of food in the online menu for that store isn't available.
