Furthermore the entrees are even more quixotic. Duck. Exotic fruits. Imported meats. This place has a little something for everyone. And the staff is wonderful. Very attentive. Even when there's a rush. Cafe atmosphere right on Main St.

We went today with our daughter her fantastic husband and our two grandchildren. After a long day moving their family to Diamond springs from Sacramento, we were famished. Wife daughter and I ordered tacos, Veggie ,Baja and piggies respectively. We shared em out one for one each. The veggie was subtle and savory wit a tasty sauce. The pixie was tangy with a soft pungent goat cheese. The shrimp was creamy with a sweet mango chutney and peppers. All served with a fresh slaw different for each plate. Absolutely great tacos. My son in law had the pork sandwich with pickles an krout. He loved it,said it reminded him of an east coast Cuban sandwich. Toped off with fresh Belching Beaver IPA. and other fresh local brews. Great service friendly staff fun Placerville atmosphere. Fair prices. Full bar, pool table. Nice and cool inside on a hot August day. Had a great lunch! Thanks Heyday Cafe. Almost forgot to mention that nachos, 'Bomb ' fresh chips sweet seasond pork spicy beer cheese tasty salsa. Yummm
