We were passing by Apple Hill on our way home to Nevada and had heard about Boa Vista orchards so we decided to see what they had going. I have to say they make things out of apples I've never heard of. Anyway we got on blackberry pie and an old fashioned apple pie. The pes were delicious and priced as you would expect, this is a destination I would recommend you check out..
A must-visit destination from mid-September to October! We noticed that the atmosphere became more vibrant as early September rolled in. We visited a couple of farms, both of which had a decent crowd. Pine O Farm had a selection of apples to pick, and they were quite good. I believe by the third week of September, there will be some fantastic apples available for picking.
The food here is fantastic, with an excellent variety of locally sourced products. There are countless sauces, dips, preserves, and more to choose from. While the restaurant is well-known for its apple pies, I'm personally a bigger fan of the apple doughnuts!
I really enjoy visiting Apple Hill! It's a beautiful drive, particularly in the fall when the leaves change colors. The fresh apple pie and freshly picked apples are fantastic, and you definitely shouldn't miss the apple donuts. It's a wonderful place to spend the day with plenty of areas to explore. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there are a lot of dirt paths. Try to arrive early, as traffic can get heavy on the weekends.
It doesn't really matter where you go in Apple Hill, but you definitely should visit. Fall is apple season, and they celebrate it like no one else. The apple cider doughnuts are incredible, and the apple cider itself is fantastic. There are farm stands where you can find incredibly fresh fruits and vegetables, and some farms offer a variety of other delicious foods as well. It's not too far away and is perfect for families.
