Food and service were exceptional. Never a complaint from out frequent visits.
Jessalyn was a phenomenal server. She was very patient with our accommodations. To start, we had the arrenchini, and that was by far the best thing of the night highly recommend. On the other hand, I ordered the Filet with the veal chop build. The onions were undercooked, and the oyster mushrooms were overcooked chewyer than bubble gum. Filet and mashed potatoes in the marsala glaze made the dish. My brother wanted something simple as mushroom risotto. Our server asked the kitchen, and I guess that their chef could not prepare it with the simple ingredients they have though out the menu. It's a little disappointing, but we are critics. Thank you, Jessalyn, for the top notch service.
This establishment is an absolute gem. The personable staff immediately makes you feel welcome and appreciated. The dedicated kitchen produces quality entrees and a rapid rate (fact they are that good and dedicated). One additional thing: if you find yourself dining alone at times this is where you need to be. You may be dining alone, but you will be surrounded by friends.
I don’t usually like to leave anything but 5 star reviews but wanted to be honest! Not sure what dinner is like but the lunch portions were small and many of us left hungry. No bread, salad, soup or anything like that like usual Italian restaurants offer along with your meal. The food was good and our server, Matt was great and friendly. Maybe I would come back and try dinner but if we have an employee party again like today, I will suggest we go elsewhere.
Had a great dinner here. The chicken Parmesan was very tasty and I especially recommend the rigatoni a la vodka. Our waiter Lance was awesome and gave us some great recommendations while visiting the city. Overall great meal.
Despite some negative experiences, the restaurant seemed to have a mix of positive reviews. Some diners were disappointed with their dishes, finding them bland or not up to par. Others, however, praised the delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. The prices were reasonable, and some specific dishes, like the Parmigiano veal and zucchini spaghetti, were highly recommended. Overall, it seems like a good neighborhood spot for Italian fare with a mix of opinions on the quality of the dishes.

This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case.
The food at this restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend trying the Parmigiano veal. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I was worried about finding a seat on New Year's Eve, but my wife and I were seated in a cozy booth big enough for two more people. The prices were affordable and the quality of the food was not compromised. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at this down-to-earth neighborhood restaurant.
The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The quality of the food is consistent and the portions are generous. It was a fantastic discovery on Christmas Eve!
I haven't been back in a few years. I wanted a comfortable place to spend an evening with friends. Reminds of Via Veneto ... and it didn't disappoint! Cool, comfortable and the food was wonderful! We will come back!
Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. We will come back 10 out of 10 experiences! ????????

We had lunch with a large group from work. The food and service was good. I enjoyed the gnocchi dish, and would recommend it to others. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals.
Fancy looking, but not so great food. Too simple, not enough flavor. Ingredients seemed upscale though. Got a Pesto Gnocchi that was hard and tasted plain garlic and black pepper. Pizzas are not actual pizzas, more of a toast-flatbread-ish thing. Best thingis the complimentary bread.
My boyfriend and I came here for a date night for our anniversary! Our server Daimere was the best!!! He was attentive and very kind throughout our entire experience there. The staff here does a great job and the food is SO SO GOOD!!!! I definitelyreccomend for a nice, yummy night out!!!!! :
Steak was rare, sent it back for a quick refire waited almost 15 minutes....ok now Im nervous. Totally different and smaller steak arrives. I noticed right away, as did my wife. Like literally half the size of what I received the first time. Definitely NOT a center cut, probably a metro cut. And worse, it was medium rare to rare I ordered medium. Having had foodpoisoning before, I didnt want to risk and just didnt eat it. When I butcher my own filets, I will cook them medium rare to eventhe more rare side. It is not uncommon, when a restaurant gets a tough whole filet, to tenderize it a bit. That puts bacteriadeeper into the steak, so that is why I order steaks medium at least to start at a restaurant that I've never been to. I lovesteak out when done on high temperature cooking surfaces like a grill or broiler. It just locks in the flavor so well, and thatoutside sear is so great. SO when I received my steak and saw that they were cooking with high temps, I was pleased. Butunfortunately, they can only really cook it to just short of rare using this method. If they lower the temps, I dont know whatthe results would be, maybe the sear wouldnt be as good. I dont know what their challenge is, but as long as they are going tooffer steaks at a place that offers valet parking, I think they need to figure that out. I was also happy they served it withbearnaise sauce. The sauce seemed ok but I really didnt a chance to really determine if it were fresh or packaged. Thepotatoes that came with the meal were pretty good. They put it in a little crock with cheese melted on top. The asparagus wasHUGE, and crunchy but cooked nicely. So why did a I rate this restaurant 3 stars, when I didnt really get to eat and it kindaruined our anniversary dinner? Well there is much more to a restaurant than just the food you get. Sure that's very importantbut: Wife loved her food, her sides, and the wine we picked. $80 bottle. They took the steak off my b
I was not thrilled with my dinner. However, my daughter loved hers. She had the squid ink pasta and said it was delicious. My Chicken Milanese (which is my go to meal when offered on any menu) was not served in the traditional way which I happen toprefer. Our server was very good.
