Great, juicy hotdog! We were just in south side to explore the neighborhood and found this little shop and decided to give it a try, LOVE IT!!!Definitely going back to try other flavors! View all feedback.
The gourmet hot dog is a bizarre idea. Hot dogs are trash. They hit the spot when you want one, but how often is that? Well, the gourmet hot dog is here to rectify that. Take a big, plump wiener and dress it up with as many toppings and combinations as you like, or go for one of the signature dogs created by the restauranteur. This is how Piggy Bank sells their franks. I'm sorry, but these links are just too salty to my liking. I tried two different dogs here. I got one with chili, shredded cheese and mustard, and the other with pulled pork and Carolina Gold bbq sauce. I'm usually a chili dog freak, but this frank was so salty, I couldn't discern it from the chili. It just tasted like a salt lick on a bun. As for the other wiener, suffice it to say that my tastebuds have determined that pulled pork and bbq sauce on top of a salt dog is just not a good combination. I can't even, even. And for five bucks a pop, I would hope for some mind blowing hot dogs here. Instead, these just made me yearn for the 2/$1 franks at Sheetz, or the links at Brighton's. Bless.

We tried Piggy Bank for the first time tonight and WOW is it amazing. We got the Steel Curtain, Detroit and Chili Cheese dogs and they were out of this world. Will definitely be back!!
Excellent hot dogs and a great thing to have around in South Side. Two is plenty to fill up on and they hold up really well for take-out and delivery! The Devil Dog is excellent. The Fresno Hot Sauce is bright and tasty.
Devoured with a lust filled fervor. They were delivered perfectly, to boot; not an easy task with how stacked they were.
