Guests rave about the flavorful small plates, particularly the oxtail, scallops, and churros, which have been deemed some of the best around. However, the atmosphere can be lively, and acoustics may create a bustling environment. Drinks are generally well-received, although some patrons desire a broader selection. My friend and I visited for the weekend and were blown away by the food. Delicious! highly recommend, and come hungry because you'll want the whole menu
The restaurant has a cool vibe. It was clean, they were timely seating us to our reservation, the service was good. We dine out often and are ok with expensive meals. This place is a bit expensive, $300 for 4 people with a cocktail per person. However, I felt I did not receive fair value for what we paid. It seems expensive just to be trendy. The food ranged from tasty to just odd. It was served nicely, but some items portion did not match the price charged. Overall I would recommend other places before coming here, unless you are specifically looking for overly trendy food and prices in a cool atmosphere.
MOST DELICIOUS DINNER EVER! I’m so happy my wife and I went to Morcilla for our anniversary dinner because it was maybe the best food we’ve ever tasted in our lives! I feel like our taste buds traveled abroad and came back more cultured and satisfied. Amazing menu, incredible service by our server Greta, and an overall spectacular dining experience!
I would love to write a short novella about all of the great things we experienced at Morcilla, what a joyful and complete dining experience. The service was outstanding from door to table and back out the door, the food arrived in a lovely well timed process that allowed us to savor every morsel and the only regret I have is that I was visiting Pittsburgh and will not be back often enough to make this a regular stop. Rest assured though, I will return to Morcilla every time I return to Pittsburgh!! Yinz are killin' it. xo Gordon
