Monico's Grille - Pittsburgh

I ordered The Reuben sandwich and it took 45 minutes to arrive, but it came back severely undercooked. I brought it to the attention of the waitress and they cooked it a bit longer. The restaurant seemed understaffed, with only one bartender/waitress and someone in the back messing up orders. There were no apologies for the wait time or any compensation for serving me undercooked food.

I visited this establishment yesterday. It is a lovely local bar with delicious food and excellent service. Leanna, the bartender, was extremely friendly and efficient.

Great service with a smile!: Pizza is really good. Small dives, but a good dive that is clean, has to play a jukebox and machines. Safe and local feeling type of vibe. It seemed like all customers were regular, everyone knew each other - type of space. You could go and feel comfortable :

I was surprised to see how small this place is. It is just a small bar with table seat around the circumference. That said, it's just what we were looking for: a small hole in the wall with good food and great service. There are televisions everywhere with different sports events on the display, and a good natured quantity. The food is good and cheap. My wife had a huge fish sandwich that was delicious, and our son I had bacon cheeseburgers who were very good. All were served with fries that I do not consider fresh cut, but were still very good. We also have one of their Philly cheeses to take steak bread and try. You have a number of different breads to choose from. They are basically loaves of Italian bread baked with blows in not quite a Stromboli or a traditional sub, but somewhere in between. All in all, although this was our favorite place at all, we will definitely be back.

I had a great experience the last time I ordered a burger - it was delicious and perfectly cooked. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. The burger did not look appetizing and was undercooked on the inside. I'm not sure if they used different meat or if the cook was different. I don't plan on ordering a burger from there again. However, if I do decide to go back, I'll stick to ordering their well-cooked fries instead.
