I was pretty excited to try out this French creperie, but ended up being disappointed. The crepes were too heavy and had a soggy texture, making them less enjoyable. The fillings, like the bechamel and cheese in mine, were overwhelming and too rich. The ingredients were high quality, but the proportions seemed off. The baked goods, however, were fantastic, especially the flourless chocolate cake. It seems like this p... View all feedback.
This crêperie is perfectly cozy and delicious!!! Super friendly, and lovely space to enjoy some food and a coffee with friends, or solo. Highly recommend! ????
Delicious. Lots of fun to watch the crepes being made too. Cafe has a very friendly, neighborhood feel to it. Great seating inside and downstairs. Staff are incredibly nice.
Malheureusement, I did not enjoy my savory crepe here. All of the baked goods looked great, it was a very cute locaton and the staff was friendly. They also have nice outdoor seating. The crepes look right, but anyone who has had a good Brittany style crepe would be disappointed. I will say that it was better than a place I went to in Montreal that specializes in this style of crepe, the flavor of the batter is better here, they just didn't execute well enough in my opinion. San Francisco had an amazing place called Ti Couz which spoiled me, not to mention a trip to Brittany and having my first crepe at a place that my host ate at for years. I'm sure he knew the best place in the area after vacationing there for so long. Needless to say, my crepe standard is HIGH. The crepe on my complète was thick and tough, it wasn't thin and crisp, but it was hard and crunchy in a couple of very over cooked spots. The egg was over cooked too so I didn't even get the runny yolk to add some moisture and creaminess to the crepe (see the pic, there should be a well of yellow oozing goodness but it is quite solid). The bechemel crepe was a little better because it had some sauce and perhaps the crepe was less over done. The salad on the plate was very nice with the traditional French vinaigrette. I might try again as it could have just been a bad day or the wrong person manning the crepe stand. That would be more likely for me if they were open for dinner because my fave thing to do is get my own savory crepe and split a dessert crepe, but that's a lot of food for breakfast or lunch. Perhaps I'll just pop in for a dessert crepe sometime. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but maybe I was looking forward to this experience too much as I hadn't even known such a place existed in Pittsburgh. C'est la vie
