The restaurant has a simple, European, French flair to the atmosphere. The wine list is excellent. The menu offers amazing food. Our baked brie, the bread, the lamb shank, etc was absolutely to die for! Prices are reasonable, and the portions are nicely done. You can tell everything is from scratch. A gem of a restaurant in Castle Shannon/Mt. Lebanon border.
Luma was quite the surprise package for me, and on my lunch visit with girlfriends, totally exceeded expectations! With their cute little patio, fun cocktails and veggie options, it checked all my boxes and definitely didn’t disappoint. We decided to order a drink at the bar while waiting for a table outside. On the friendly bartender’s recommendation, I went with the ‘Mango’ which was delicious! My next drink was the ‘Grapefruit’ which was less sweet and even better than the first. The food too
My family absolutely loves Luma! My only regret is not coming here sooner! Fantastic family run business providing great service and food. We have never had something we didn’t like here. The fresh baked bread with dipping oil and homemade desserts are so good. We try something new every time and have never been disappointed. I would recommend everyone check out this local gem!
This restaurant has a charming atmosphere with two patios. The service was generally good, though a little inconsistent. As for the food, it was acceptable but quite basic and lacked excitement. Considering the crowd, it makes sense that our dishes were served with plain, unseasoned white rice and a stalk of steamed broccoli as sides. I might come back to enjoy drinks at the bar, but I don’t plan on returning for a meal. The menu does have clearly marked prices.
Our waitress, Peyton, had a sparkling personality that truly enhanced our dining experience! Our entrées were equally impressive. The oil-blackened Australian barramundi was expertly seasoned and perfectly broiled. I shared some with my wife, who also treated me to her delicious jumbo lump crab cakes—definitely the best I've ever tasted! We seemed to be in a sharing mood, as I enjoyed some of her savory she-crab bisque while she helped herself to my tossed mixed greens salad. All of this was enjoyed in a romantic and contemporary atmosphere.
