Street Food. The man Gus, George, Peter, not sure what his name is- other than he is funny and enjoyable. I never gone in Labad's, but I do get a gyro and baklava whenever they have their street food set up. Price is right, food is good, and worth the stop. View all feedback.
Street Food. There’s a man named Gus, or maybe George, or Peter—I’m not quite sure what his name is—but he’s really funny and enjoyable to be around. I've never actually been inside Labad's, but I always make sure to grab a gyro and some baklava whenever they have their street food setup. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and it's definitely worth a stop!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Labad's for the first time while visiting Pittsburgh with family and friends. We all agreed that the food was exceptional, homemade, and bursting with flavor. The prices were very affordable, and the service was outstanding! I will definitely return during my future visits. The restaurant is located in the back of Labad's grocery store in the Strip District, making it a fantastic find! I also heard that a second location is either opening soon or has just opened nearby, which will offer both lunch and dinner. Having dined at many Middle Eastern restaurants, I can confidently say that this is one of my favorites.
To top it all off, the rolled baklava was perfectly sweet, crunchy, and had a nice hint of chocolate. The service was prompt and attentive, clearly reflecting the proprietor's passion for the food.
Great middle eastern gyro.... But they need to heat up the pita a little
Good falafel sandwich but their baba ganoosh is killer smokey, lemony, garlicky.
