Description

The Grand Concourse Sunday Buffet offers a picturesque tradition brunch with plenty of good food options, including made-to-order omelets. While some salads were lacking, the donuts and apfelknödel were definite favorites. The restaurant's building and views provided an amazing backdrop, although the food and service fell short of expectations for some diners. While the food may not justify the prices for some, others found the environment and service to be top-notch. Overall, a visit to this Pittsburgh icon during Restaurant Week left diners delighted by the quality of the meal, the atmosphere, and the excellent service provided. Whether enjoying a quiet evening or joining in for Pittsburgh Restaurant Week, the Grand Concourse offers a memorable dining experience in the beautifully restored train station.

The building itself and the view of the city (if you sit in the right spot) are both really amazing, but it’s an incomplete experience. For the price and caliber of this restaurant, the food was lacking greatly and service was very poor. I requested amedium steak and received a well done NY Strip. After requesting a replacement, the next steak I received was medium rare if notrare. Extremely disappointing. Service was pleasant and professional but made numerous mistakes that diminished the experienceoverall.

Went to brunch there today. Staff was fabulous. Atmosphere was what you would expect. Food was not great. The Grand Concourse in 2024 should be able to provide a decent choice of options for those who are gluten free but they do not. 90% of the food is not gluten free. The only dessert option was the chocolate fountain and I had to ask for strawberries specifically because they only had gluten based food at the chocolate fountain. There were no other desserts available either that where not gluten based. And... my meal cost as much as everyone else's eventhough I could only eat 10% of the food. It is 2024 and gluten free should not be news to the Grand Concourse. It should be easy for them to offer gluten free choices. Very disappointed and if you are gluten free, skip going there.

The building is gorgeous, Bill was very personable, the food was good but the presentation could've been better. My sides were a little bit lacking, but the service made up for it. Will be back.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try for our anniversary and had an exceptional experience with Bill being our server. He is such a blessing to this establishment. We will be returning!!!
