She offered that the kitchen could make the lamb chops small plates into an entrée, and I requested medium rare-medium. All five chops came out well-done, and by well-done, I mean charred on the underside which was disingenuously hidden from view. I somehow ate two of them! After I brought the charring to our server's attention, she had the kitchen prepare 3 new chops, matching my original request. We were comped for one dessert but I felt that the resto should've covered my entrée. Next time we search for Saturday night parking in Shadyside, it'll be for Girasole or another non-mediocre establishment.

We had parmesan crusted halibut... read more We just discovered this little gem off Walnut St. Shadyside. The decor and ambience is like eating in a charming french bistro. We had parmesan crusted halibut with mac and cheese and it was very good. We are both looking forward to our next visit to try the beef wellington and the meatloaf!

To start please know that this is a true ?your mom is cooking an amazing dinner? kind of place, and amazing food takes time. So grab a drink or two from the great bartender, sitback, relax, and if you are outside people watch. I highly recommend the crab cakes because they were delightful and mainly lumpcrab with little filler. A must try next time you are in Shadyside.

Right now they have an asparagus Brie and balsamic glaze tart which is so tasty, their beef Wellington is perfectly cooked every time. My boyfriend and I always get the lamb chopsand green curry mussels when we go. Scallops are also delicious! Personal favorite drink is the blushing lemon drop but the coldbrew martini and seasonal mule are great too. Smaller interior, not a ton of seating but a good comforting vibe. Great fordates!
