Alta Via - Pittsburgh
Alta Via
Description
Alta Via, a member of the Big Burrito family, falls short in the food department according to some diners. While the paparadelle and short rib dish disappoints, the burrata appetizer shines. Despite some inconsistencies and under-seasoned dishes, the pork chop receives rave reviews. The pasta dishes, particularly the cacio e pepe, impress with generous portions. Compliments flow in for the ambiance, service, and variety of the wine list. Overall, the experience at Alta Via is elevated by attentive servers like Laura, although some find the meals to be somewhat lacking in flavor. Nevertheless, the restaurant is praised for its hospitality and exceptional dining experiences.

Amazing homemade pasta, fresh seafood dishes, shareable salads and wonderful cocktails and mocktails. Cannot wait to return for another meal. The steak was by far my favorite dish
My wife and I have eaten there twice now and the food is awesome!! Calamari and ink squid pasta is fantastic!!
Great experience here for brunch, can’t wait to return for dinner. Beautiful spot (and unexpected for being in a strip mall) with really wonderful dishes. Respectable portions and solid flavor made, along with great drinks and really lovely service made this a really special find. Will definitely be back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
Truly an amazing restaurant! The food, staff, welcoming atmosphere and great menu have placed this gem at the top of my list. What I loved: 1. Welcoming staff that make sure you know they care. 2. Great gourmet Vegetarian selections on the menu...finally a good place to take my Vegan mom when she comes to visit. 3. A choice of tasty mocktails on the menu...one of the few places with good food that I don't have to miss an accompanying beverage. 4. Delightful presentation....especially dessert. It looked so inviting I totally forgot to take a picture and dug right into the chocolate torte. It was as good as it looked too! 5. Prompt service and attentive wait staff. Even though I went on arguably the busiest night of the year (Valentine's Day) the pace of the restaurant was fluid, Staff was relaxed, I waited for nothing and the food came out at perfect temperatures. What I didn't like: I ran out of space in my tummy and couldn't order another mocktail. Highly Recommend! Vegetarian options: It was so nice to see an interesting selection that treated vegetarian dishes with the same degree of detail. It's so hard to find a great place to take my vegetarian momin Pittsburgh that creates something really wow. I will be bringing her as soon as possible to enjoy.
