The tacos need an ingredient change. They are made with corn tortillas. Also they need to be more authentic use skirt steak, chorizo, chicken , pork and green and red salsas. Although their menu is not vast, everything they offer is definitely worth the trip, especially for such a cozy spot. On my first visit, I ordered the steak burrito, and this time I went for the chicken burrito. Both options come with two authentic salsas—red and green—that evoke the flavors you'd expect to find in Chicago. The bartender, Katelynn, is amazing; she is warm, attentive, and truly makes you feel at home. They also have pitchers of beer available, which is always a nice touch. Outpost Tavern is clean and welcoming, and I highly recommend stopping by, even if it's just for a steak taco and a beer. Definitely worth a visit!
