I visited Vindu On Wheels for the first time on March 15 and ordered two types of fried rice, Chicken 65, Old City Malai Kabab, and a Frankie (all for takeout). Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that the Malai Kabab was missing. The portion sizes we received for the price were ridiculous. Despite requesting medium spice, everything was excessively spicy—even for us, as we're used to spicy food being from Hyderabad. We were so busy drinking water with every bite that we couldn't enjoy the flavors of the dishes. Overall, it’s overhyped and overpriced, and I won’t be returning. Service: Takeaway, Meal type: Dinner, Price per person: $20–30, Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 2.
The food is decent, with the Ghee Karam Idly being a highlight. However, the Punugulu are quite oily. The Aratikaya Bajji and Mirapaya Bajji have very similar flavors, making it hard to tell them apart. Overall, I would rate the food a 3, service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4.
Vindu On Wheels is the best food truck for Indian street food! Their Chicken 65 is a must-try—it's perfectly spiced and full of flavor. The Frankies are excellent as well. If you love street-style Chinese, their noodles and fried rice are unbeatable. I highly recommend this spot for a satisfying meal.
