Decided to eat hear after a 20 year hiatus b/c was the only place in town w available reservation (red flag #1). The place was nearly empty when we arrived for our 6:30 reservation (red flag #2). I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms and my husband ordered the shrimp cocktail for apps. My mushrooms were soggy and floating in ?water. My husband said the shrimp tasted as if would be bad the next day. My wine was corked. For entrees I ordered the stuffed sole, my husband the 10oz prime rib. My sole was undercooked and stuffed with the same shell filled crab mixture as the mushroom app. My husband’s prime rib was grossly underdone even for medium rare. Both meals came with the “vegetable of the day” which was green beans that had been boiled w noticeable seasoning. The mashed potato side tasted as it came out of a box. All in all we both agreed it was probably the worst meal we’ve had in decades which is such a shame given it’s prime location in the Village of Pinehurst.

A group of friends met up for an Early Bird dinner. The service from our server, Tina, was outstanding and the food was deliciously prepared and full of flavor. We all had a wonderful evening. Thank you!
