They were and their food was
The gizzards are getting tougher ever time I buy them, I don't believe they boil them long enough. Like eating on rubber and sometimes the livers are over cooked(hard). I use to love going there but it's just not the same anymore.
This is the only place that a migrated Chicagoan can get an italian beef sandwich dunked like it's supposed to be! It's a gas station (which I swore I would not get food from...but damn!
They are friendly people! The food is always good!! If they make a mistake they are quick to fix it!! The prices are reasonable!! I highly recommend!!
I ordered the grilled chicken with grilled shrimp over rice, but the entire meal was dry and the rice was undercooked and tasted terrible. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Perhaps they had different cooks that day.
