What User doesn't like about Braeside Inn Accommodations:
This Inn is located on a quiet road within walking distance to downtown Pictou. We stayed here one night while we were in town attending a performance of the Ballagh Bunch- very entertaining family) at the deCoste Centre. When we checked into the Inn we...More View all feedback.
We stay two nights. The bed was very unpleasant, you could say it was an old bed! The bathroom was very small and the sink was difficult to use as the hot tap was on one side of the sink and the cold on the other side of the sink. It took a while to get the hot water hot. The inn was very expensive and had a bad smell that we were not told before check-in, it was on paper on the back of the door in the room. They weren't an elevator that made it a bit more difficult when my husband just had surgery. They had in our room when we had a not disturbing sign at the door when we left, we no one was there because the bed was made and items were replaced in the bathroom (which would not be bad if I didn't disturb the sign at the door) instead of using a vacuum on the stairs they used a broom to sweep the carpet. The continental breakfast includes 4 varieties of cereal, toast, hard-boiling eggs, slices of cheese, a kind of muffin, coffee tea apple juice and orange juice and that was it. Other then the hard-boiling eggs there were no other hot items that you could eat for breakfast (definitely not what you would pay for what you would) we ended up for a dinner on the street for breakfast! There were no other meals at the inn. They had no key cards, but had actual keys, but gave only one key to the main door and one key to the room door. You would have to use a key to come to the inn after a certain time of day (between 11-3 and 10 a.m. at night), and a key to get into the room when you lose the key, then you will have to pay 50 dollars at the departure, this made it difficult if my husband went out and I stayed in the inn, I would have to come from the top floor to let him in. We pay the same price for this room as we would if we stayed in a hotel! Our overall experience was very unsatisfactory and we would never recommend this inn to everyone!
We stayed here two nights in the area. Great location. Near the PEI ferry terminal. Hotel is older, but comfortable rooms and great service. Breakfast was good.
It's a beautiful building that needs love. The family room is good. It has 2 double beds and a single bed. A fridge and a small seating area. It's clean.
We stayed here on the way home from Cape Breton. Owners are very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. Decor is overdue and claustrophobic. Too much! Common areas were stuffy and had a great smell.
