It's been quite a while since I've been to Pho Saigon, even though they're in my neighbourhood. I dropped in for dinner recently, with a friend. She had a vermicelli dish with beef and I had a large beef pho. The pho broth was very flavourful and plentiful, more than enough for my friend to have some. My husband and I used to frequent this place but the quality has been going downhill. Meat is chewy, broth lacks flavour, and today the tofu wasn't cooked enough and slimy in texture in the inside. The last straw was not once but twice when we show up at 9:15 we are told coldly that the place closes at 10 and we need to be quick and order right away.... or just order takeout.
