Brew Wizards Board Game Café

I visited this place with friends, and we had a blast! There were lots of games to choose from, and it brought back fond memories of being a kid and playing games with friends, all while enjoying the classic combo of a sandwich and chips dip. The staff was also very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

They failed to update their social media to inform us that the game wasn't a drop-in due to it being carried over from last week. When we arrived, the staff was unaware of this, so they couldn’t inform us before we placed our order. As a result, we spent $26 on food and drinks for a game we weren’t able to play. They had known since the last drop-in game that this one wouldn’t be a drop-in, so their failure to update their social media at the very least shows a complete disregard for their customers. I won’t be returning if this is how the owners allow their staff to manage events. If you’re aware of changes to an event, it’s simply poor business practice not to broadcast that information on your social media. If I could give negative stars for that, I would. The staff was polite, but that doesn’t make up for how they failed their customers. On a side note, the hummus was bland, and the homemade dip for the chips was no better—only the drinks were enjoyable.

My child and I had a wonderful time here, spending hours playing games and enjoying tasty snacks! It's fantastic to have such a place in Durham. Kid-friendliness: They offered an excellent variety of games suitable for all ages.

I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I've been there twice already. We had a great time drinking coffee and playing board games.

This is such a fun place with a fantastic atmosphere. The selection of coffee and craft beers is excellent. I truly enjoy my visits here, mainly due to the wonderful staff.
