Let's start positives, the atmosphere is nice, dimly lit with beautiful art on the walls. The drinks (lychee margarita and crimes of passion) were delicious! Highly recommend the drinks. Now for the negatives, the sushi fish was high quality however the hard sushi rice is what killed it for me. The menu is mainly sushi so it was disappointing considering their prices.

From the moment my friend and I arrived, the host outside seemed awkward and gave me an unpleasant look when I asked if there was a table for two. It was 4 PM on a Wednesday. I felt a sense of discrimination without anything being directly stated. The server went through the menu far too quickly. While they usually take the time to explain the details, I felt rushed and overwhelmed by all the information about the specials and signature dishes. It seemed scripted rather than genuine. To make matters worse, even though I look much older, I was still asked for ID when ordering a cocktail. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad day, or maybe there's an unspoken requirement about who gets to dine here, but I really didn't enjoy the experience at all.

The drinks were phenomenal, the service outstanding, and the food was truly one of a kind. I hope they maintain the exceptional experience they’ve created. Many places around Phoenix have pretentious servers and don’t offer nearly the same quality of food as this restaurant. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming.
