Was Barry Allen at Tomaso's a mag?
Made a reservation and checked in but the host forgot about us and we were seated 20 minutes late (for an already late 8:15p rez). Server was very nice but we waited another 15 minutes for drinks/apps orders, ended up ordering everything at once. Just went to the bar for a drink refill because we rarely saw our server. When food did come server got 2 orders wrong. We were excited for the meal/experience but left disa... View all feedback.
What David L dislikes about Tomaso's:
I ordered a Caesar salad, chicken parmesan, and an Italian beer. The salad was excellent, but the chicken parmesan was bland, accompanied by undercooked potatoes and tough, flavorless broccolini. I can't recall what my friends ordered, but they both left feeling unimpressed with their meals as well. This was likely the most expensive and least satisfying lunch I've had in a while. It was bitter sweet to eat for the last time at this Phoenix landmark of a restaurant. The food was fantastic as always, even to the last night of operation. This place will be missed, but like the Phoenix it will rise from tbe ashes and be reborn across the street hopefully in January 2024. Long live Tomoso's. Thank you for 46 wonderful years of service to the valley.
Went for my birthday and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was outstanding; best Italian food ever. All the staff were wonderful. Will definitely will be going to their new location.
Top knotch all the way around. Best vodka sauce I've ever had ask for the veggies of the day on the side. Even the starting bread (perfect light, soft inside and crisp outside itself) came with this awesome herbed butter that spread easily. Tiramisu is a must, as well. Staff was incredible and attentive; place ran like a well oiled machine. Emelio even provided aclutch list of places to try in Phoenix to help us tourists out and was extremely helpful in answering questions about the menuand taking care of my nut/shellfish allergy special requests. Don't miss this spot!
