I have ordered from here a few times now trying to make my way through all of the vegan options! The lentil balls and Mac and cheese are an absolute must for every order! Other than that all of the mains I have tried have been so good favorite so far is the stewed tofu! Updated from previous review on 2021 03 25 View all feedback.
I had an amazing dining experience at Desert Island Eatery in Phoenix! This hidden gem stole my heart with their delicious dishes. The J Chicken over red bean and rice with cabbage and the Ox Tail over rice and cabbage were both exceptional. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The flavors of the Caribbean in the J Chicken were perfect, and the Ox Tail was a meat lover's dream. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation of each dish was impressive. The prices were reasonable for the high quality of food. If you're in Phoenix, I highly recommend visiting Desert Island Eatery for an unforgettable culinary adventure. I can't wait to go back!
This was the most amazing food i 've ever had in my life. Try it, you won 't be disappointed. And no excuses with 'but I don 't like spicy food '. If you can scarf down a bag of hot cheetos, you can try this amazing cuisine.
I tried the tri-plate combo, which includes three different varieties of chicken, and it was delicious! I was so impressed that I decided to take home some patties and oxtail to try as well. The owners were incredibly friendly, making it a great overall experience.
I visited this Caribbean restaurant because I had never seen one with vegan and gluten-free menus, and I wanted to show my support. The food was delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. The only item that lacked flavor was the rice and peas, but when mixed with everything else, it didn't really matter. The service was great, and the family-owned business made it feel welcoming. They have outdoor seating available, but the restaurant is mainly for takeout, so the food is packaged to go, even if you eat outside. They do offer table service, which was appreciated. The food is made fresh to order, so it does take some time to be served. It's not fast food, but it is delicious and healthy. If you don't want to wait, it's best to call ahead, as most people seemed to do.
Super sweet family owned restaurant, great customer service went above and beyond. Oxtail was great and plantains were perfect!
