This restaurant is fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The salsa was delicious and the guacamole made fresh at the table was excellent. The tacos, filled with pulled chicken, steak, and shrimp, were top-notch. The enchiladas trio was also really tasty. Overall, a great spot with fresh and delicious food! I give it a 5 out of 5 rating. View all feedback.
What Elsie H doesn't like about Barrio Queen:
Poor service, worse food. Nachos were cold and soggy. Pork verde flavor was sour. I think the meat was spoiled or very close to spoiled. We left most of the food on the table. It was awful. View all feedback.
Wow, what can I say about how disappointed I am in the restaurant and the staff. So the food was not terrible for me. I had the carne asada burrito it was $19.50 for something you 'd find at chipotle for way less. My Mother ordered a taco and asked for ayellow corn tortilla because she doesn 't care for blue corn. They got it wrong. Also, it wasn 't even a taco, it was more like atostada. The soup had very little flavor and was all rice. Missing the broth. She ended up just eating her avocado that was inher soup. Now, she had taken maybe half a bite of the taco and had to send it back. Well, that is when our waitress ValentinaFINALLY made it back to us. I also had a small margarita that was over priced for a meh drink. When the bill came they hadcharged $6 for the taco and given back $5. We had paid but then asked the waitress about it. Just to preface, we didn 'tunderstand why they would charge for something they made in error. Essentially, she said well, it 's just a dollar. It 's themanager who decided and she walked off. I cannot even stress how RUDELY she spoke. I would never recommend this restaurant toanyone, unless you 're looking for rude service, bloated prices and sub par food.
Came here for a solo lunch it was fantastic! The server was very attentive and the food came out quickly. The Chile papas were delicious quite large. The sauce was just perfect. The tuna salad was refreshing in contrast with a yummy vinegarette.
My wife and I have visit three locations (Scottsdale, Desert Ridge, and Bell Rd). All three locations were awesome! Great food, drinks mixed perfectly, great staff, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I feel it is not often you can patron multiple locations at restaurants and have a similar experience across the board. But that is what we see/experience when we go to Barrio Queen.Thank you

The food was very good and the guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. It was so fun how they made the guacamole in a little cart right in front of us.They seemed to be understaffed the night we went because it was quite difficult to get our servers attention. We ended us busing our appetizer plates and piling them at the end of the table so we had room for our entrees and the plates sat there for about an hour before they were cleared. We would have liked to order a few more drinks but we didn’t see a server for a while. The other slight issue was that the mist system was dripping a bit and didn’t turn off until about 30 minutes after the sun had set. Again, we would have asked to have it shut off but we didn’t see any server during that time period so we couldn’t haha.Overall we had a good time but I would hope they aren’t so understaffed next time around.Parking: Plenty of free parking in the lot right in front of the restaurant.
