I only mana... read more Having returned from Paris a year ago, I have high standards for dining experiences, and this restaurant certainly surpassed them. Simply fantastic. I only managed to take a photo of dessert because I was so absorbed in enjoying the food and the ambiance, which speaks volumes about the entire team. Thank you! Is it kid-friendly? Absolutely! It's suitable inside or, even better, outside on the patio.

The food was not only delicious but also made with incredibly fresh ingredients. We tried the quinoa bowl, and the red hummus was delightful. The blistered Shishito peppers were cooked to perfection—just the right choice for a warm day. The Margarita pizza and the artichoke Bohemian pizza were simply amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Mendocino. Meal type: Lunch.

Our faves were clam and pork chorizo and heirloom tomato salad. Reasonably priced for the superb quality. We will make this a regular destination!

We experienced a delicious meal from the former chefs, and a different menu but equally delicious meal with the new chef. It?s such a lovely, romantic setting. Service is very good (thanks, Hannah! and the local wine selection strong. It?s our favorite dinner spot in the area. We had the heirloom tomatoes, clams and chorizo (with extra bread to soak up every bit of that sauce , and smoked, roasted chicken. The Toulouse Estate Pinot paired so good!

If you are looking for a team who delivers thoughtfully crafted flavors and an equally tailored atmosphere you simply can not miss out on stopping in. Dinner: A limited menu showcasing the talent and expertise the team has in Iberian cuisine ensures that there are no wrong choices. A robust and thoughtfully curated wine selection, a mix of US and imports, offered a refreshing change for the palate from the day touring the surrounding vineyards. The meal, best enjoyed family style (shared plates), had generous portions and balanced ingredients, leaving no one unsatisfied (3 starters we?re more than enough to satisfy our party of 2 with barely any room for our main course, all 3 had been scraped clean). The staff (both FOH and BOH) were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work; traits that were clearly displayed through the food and service. As service ramped up Chef Jason and his suis chef moved like clockwork; a true display of masters of their craft as they artfully timed the courses of multiple tables all while balancing the small cooking space and the temperature of the wood fired oven (the entire line is comprised of the oven and two induction burners, for those that don?t know that?s beyond TINY). If mistakes were made they were few and far between as the waitstaff and chefs moved nearly perfectly in sync. The experience summed up was truly ?Swunderful?. Lunch: Pizza! The waitstaff was lively and pleasant—definitely not stiff or pretentious. While it might not be to everyone’s taste, we really appreciated the service. The food was excellent, and the dessert was superb as well. The chef selected a wine that paired perfectly with our meal. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but I can only imagine how challenging it is to run a business in Philo. I commend them for making it work.

I decided to try the Phillips Hill pinot, a winery we haven't explored yet. We started our meal with oysters and patatas bravas, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. As anticipated, we then indulged in a freshly baked sausage pizza straight from the oven. I should also mention that Wickson is situated within a delightful little hotel. On our next trip to Anderson Valley, we plan to stay at this hotel and enjoy another fantastic meal at Wickson.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the service was outstanding. I felt completely at home, enjoying a meal with friends in a cozy setting. The atmosphere reminded me of a charming town in Spain or the peaceful European countryside. One of the highlights was the open wood fire stove; sitting nearby while our meal was being prepared added an extra sense of warmth to our experience. The food was fantastic; we ordered one of each appetizer except for the oysters and tartare. To our surprise, the Caesar salad and quinoa bowl were standout dishes, while the whipped feta was absolutely delicious. The cocktail menu was also impressive and complemented our meal perfectly. We even ordered two pizzas, and they were happy to accommodate our preferences. By the end of our meal, we were completely stuffed!
