Menu

The menu of Townsend from Philadelphia comprises about 64 different menus and drinks. On average you pay about $19.9 for a dish / drink.

Townsend is a popular restaurant in Philadelphia that offers a mix of experiences depending on where you are seated. The kitchen-view booth might not be the most ideal, but the enthusiastic waitstaff make up for it. The menu is diverse and mostly delicious, with a few exceptions like food poisoning from the escargot. The romantic ambiance, personalized menus for special occasions, and fantastic food options create a memorable dining experience. Despite a spotty AC situation and a credit card processing fee that caught some diners off guard, Townsend is still celebrated for its culinary excellence and top-notch service. With a few caveats, it's definitely a top choice for those seeking a high-quality dining adventure.

Was Fern M at Townsend a mag?
We really enjoyed our recent visit to Townsend. We both ordered the chef's tasting menu and staff was very accomodating about changing out one of the dishes that was something we don't eat. Each course was delicious. We also enjoyed the wine pairings with each course. A great choice for a special occasion meal. View all feedback.

What Cora Walter dislikes about Townsend:
The waiter was friendly and professional, but had too many tables. The food was salty and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. He used to enjoy this place, but will probably not be back now. View all feedback.

My girlfriend ordered escargot and promptly got food poisoning, literally within 15 minutes of eating it. Sort of unacceptable for a French restaurant especially.

A true culinary gem! TOWNSEND in Philadelphia's East Passyunk Crossing neighborhood has left an indelible mark on my dining experience. Every aspect, from the elegantly cozy ambiance to the meticulously crafted dishes, is a testament to the chef's dedication to excellence. The menu's sophistication is matched only by the impeccable service that creates a truly memorable evening. Each dish is a work of art that reflects a deep understanding of flavors and ingredients. The staff's knowledge and genuine passion for their craft elevate the entire dining experience. TOWNSEND is without a doubt deserving of a glowing 5-star review for delivering a dining adventure that exceeds all expectations. If you're seeking culinary perfection, this is the place to be!

Couldn't have asked for a better 40th birthday experience. The service and level of accommodations. The thoughtfulness and quality of the food and each ingredient. An absolute top dining moment.
