Tea Do - Philadelphia
Tea Do
Description
An affordable, wide-ranging boba spot praised for quick, friendly service and late-night convenience. Popular milk teas and fruit drinks often hit the mark, and the large menu lets you experiment with toppings and flavors. Quality and cleanliness vary by location—customers cite warm drinks, soft or off-tasting pearls, sticky floors, and unclear dietary labeling—so expect inconsistent experiences. Great for students and budget-minded night owls who want variety and value, but not for those seeking guaranteed consistency or polished ambiance.

Here are a few concerns I encountered: 1. The drinks were warm, not cold at all. 2. The floors were extremely sticky, and no effort was made to address the problem during the several hours I spent there. 3. The young staff behind the bar were playing video games loudly over the speakers instead of focusing on their work to improve the establishment, which it desperately needed. I don't mind gaming, especially during slow times, but it shouldn't disrupt the ambiance or be louder than the background music. Prioritize your tasks! This place is in dire need of a thorough cleaning and regular maintenance. It used to be known for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, but it now feels dingy, dirty, and somewhat dysfunctional. All it needs is some tender loving care and a little investment to restore its former charm.
Delicious and convenient! It was quite busy when I arrived (Saturday late afternoon), but the wait wasn’t too long. The milk tea and pearls were tasty and reasonably priced as well. Overall, a great experience! Food: 5/5
Without a doubt, the best bubble tea in Philadelphia! I often notice the same friendly staff working behind the counter, and they always provide outstandingly quick service. Food: 5/5
An extremely solid, if classic boba shop. This location is way better than University City one. Highly recommend the first love (I get lychee jelly instead of aloe), but their milk teas and smoothies are good as well.
My only reservations is that decaf items and dairy free (or lactose free) items are not properly labeled and it took some team work for the staff to figure out what drinks were both decaf and dairy free. I was told milk based drinks were lactose free... amazing if true.Dietary restrictions: I was told milk based drinks were lactose free... amazing if it is true.
