We opted for takeout since my wife wasn't feeling well, so I walked from our hotel to pick it up. I ordered the Sunday Gravy special, which was quite basic. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out in any remarkable way. My daughter had a generous serving of kids' penne with marinara, which she said was acceptable. Next time I'm in Philadelphia, I would consider trying a different place.

We walked in and the place is very clea... read more We had just left the liberty Bell and was looking for a place to eat. We were fortunate to find this place a block away. We walked in and the place is very clean. We were able to get in without a reservation. We were waited on immediately. We ordered 2 appetizers one the cheese steak egg roll and the truffle fries. Both great. For our meal we ordered the pepperoni calazone and a cheese steak one. You can split the portion as it's family style. Both great. Left there nice and full for 4 of us. Ate before we took pictures.

We shared a pizza, p... read more We absolutely enjoyed our experience at La Scalia! The atmosphere was spacious, bright, and beautiful. The food and service were excellent. We shared a pizza, panini, ravioli, and Rigatoni alla Vodka, and everyone loved their meal. It’s definitely a fantastic discovery after exploring the Independence Mall area!
