All the food was delicious and the kitchen was very accommodating to special requests. Our waiter Eric was charming and made us feel very relaxed. Happy hour drinks were flowing and we had a wonderful time.
The food was enjoyable, but I was taken aback by the added $2 fees for condiments such as butter and jam. The sides were generous, similar to those found at a steakhouse and meant for sharing. The service was average - we had to request things multiple times and received them late, such as water refills taking 20 minutes. Overall, I wouldn't discourage someone from giving it a try, but I personally don't plan on returning.
The reviews were misleading and the reality was vastly disappointing. Unfortunately, this was my worst dining experience in Philadelphia since I moved here. The food and service were subpar in every aspect. I have no intention of returning.
If you’re looking for BBQ in Passyunk, look no further then Flannel. Great service, great decor, and amazing food. The wings are so crunchy and their Nashville heat was a good heat that doesn’t kill you. Their poutine with the brisket on top was sodelicious and the fries not soggy at all. Their Mac and cheese has the perfect combination of cheeses. We did get ribs but theydidn’t last long enough for a picture. The ribs are mouth watering and the sauce on them, just the right sweetness. Everythingwas amazing and we ended up getting two orders of wings, Mac and cheese, and poutine (we had family visiting). On top of all ofthat, they had Star Wars playing in the background and the place is named after the type of shirt I wear everywhere. If I wasBBQ place, it’s Flannel.
First time in Philly and Flannel came up on a search for restaurants close to where we were staying. Had good reviews. Gave it a try. Food was high quality. Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts, shrimp and grits, chicken sandwich and brisket shared by all.Delicious, with quick and friendly service. You won't regret it!
