As for the food, the chicken and garlic chive potstickers were delicious, although there was a bit too much dough compared to the filling. The roasted pork belly gwa bao was amazing, but be prepared to get messy with the crushed peanut powder on top. The shrimp ruen bing, which is essentially a Taiwanese mini burrito, was massive and packed with flavor.
I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to go back! View all feedback.
What Michelle Slocum doesn't like about Bao-logy:
The bao buns and potstickers at this restaurant were absolutely terrible. We ended up throwing away 3/4 of our dinner. Not only were they overpriced, but they were also inedible. View all feedback.
I love this place! One of my favorite places for a quick lunch. I HIGHLY recommend the pork belly bao. It's great to see they're open for dining in again, too!Food: 5/5
I had the pleasure to try this sweet hidden gem with my best friend who is also my GF . We have tried to combo and the sweet potato donuts and let me tell you! Coming from a hospitalty background expert , I felt welcomed the minute we walked in to the Resturant , everyone seemed happy to be there which is a big plus ! Furthermore , I knew the food would be awesome and great quality because the amazing lady who took our order was very proud of the dishes on the menu and very knowledgeable ! Every single dish was fabulous if you will , and every bite I took I smiled !There is no reason for me to not order some of those delicious sweet potato donuts right after my workout at the JIM!!! this place is soo good to the point that it does not make any sense :
I am very happy that this restaurant is still open despite Covid. I am not surprised though, as the food here is always fresh and tasty. The staff members are friendly and welcoming, and the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming too. I always forget how satisfying the gwabaos are. The sardines are delicious and perfectly fried to a crisp. They are so good that I can eat them like fries, so I will definitely have to order more next time.
Ok so… you won’t believe this place. Taiwanese from what I understand. Basically, it’s affordable 5 star Asian fusion. Most tender meat best veggies and in a quaint location. A MUST try. Best quick lunch in Philadelphia. No question about it.
I'm itching to dine here in person but I'm giving 5 stars purely on our peak pandemic experience alone, where while cooped up in a tiny studio, we often got meal packs from here. The food was delicious, but more importantly the owners were really on the front foot feeding first responders, helping other restaurants and small businesses adapt. Also, the best cooked eggs I've ever had are served here.
