Wendy's - Peterborough

I am a fan of this Wendy's along ChemongI have gone here on several occasions with family and friends.

Just had lunch at Wendy's with my mom. We had a craving for their southwestern salad with the yummy chili. Mom had some chicken nuggets and salad which we ate up. The food is fast, consistently good, with free drink refills.They have undertaken a reno-refurbishment which is lovely, calm décor with booths, tables and a little sitting area to read. The only complaint is that the inner door stayed open and it was quite chilly.The tables were clean, the bathroom was clean, with no sanitizing odour. The best thing about Wendy's is Gail behind the till. She is welcoming, and has been there over 30 years. She obviously loves her job and loves people. The other staff were courteous as well but Gail stands out.

Yes, this is typical, unhealthy fast food but I do take my young kids there on the rare occassion. They love it, I like it and they tend to eat more of their meals than at the other major chain. I don't eat the beef products but find the other items to be slightly better quality and taste than "you know who's".

Wendy's just did a big refresh on the Lansdowne property and it is so much nicer now. The only thing that's weird is that they put the beginning of the line on the far side of the restaurant from the entrance door - very confusing. Good food, nice atmosphere (for fast food!), love the new pop machines where you can pick 100 different flavors
