Dr. J's Bbq & Brews - Peterborough

So yo keep this short. went in to order ribs. asked to use the washroom and she said no it's for customers only. informing her i very well could be a customer here still refused me the bathroom . i walked out, I decided to try out again many weeks later because i heard good things about the food. i ordered the tacos and the chili. it was gawd awful. i couldn't even eat it. the taco was soggy and bland. the brisket was dryer than jerkey i kid you not. so service and food with my experience was terrible. i really wish i could just get some good bbq :

My wife and I just had dinner there. We have been going since it opened but took a break from the place due to price increases. We decided to give it a second chance today. We were surprised the prices had gone up again. The restaurant seems to have gotten in the habit of raising prices and dropping product quality and quantity. Today I paid more than I ever had and got less than I've ever got. I had a 1/2 rack of ribs with mac&cheese and fries. The ribs came out with no sauce, I had to ask for some. The m&c was dry and lacked cheese sauce. My fries came out late, were overcooked and greasy. Fortunately my wife's dinner was up to the normal standards we are used to. My bill was just under $80. Sadly this will be the last time we dine there.

Food is excellent. Service not so much. Pre orderd 1 hour ahead of time. Arrive to pick it up all of the sudden no brisket left. The girl was nice about it but

Great place. Not only was our experience memorable to the new people with us with bbq but the taste was amazing. Tony was exceptional with his knowledge about anything bbq related and made you feel confident about what you want to order.Parking: Smaller parking but makes up for it with the huge 1000 gallon smoker out back
