The Well Tavern - Perth
The Well Tavern
Description
The Wellard has garnered a blend of opinions since its recent management change. Diners appreciate the upgraded menu featuring standout dishes like the stockplate and pork ribs, praised for quality and flavor. Friendly and attentive service has received accolades, although some experiences noted slow service and lukewarm meals. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, making it suitable for casual dining, but the pricing may deter some. While events and upgraded offerings are desired, the venue still excels in presenting delicious food and cocktails. Overall, The Wellard shows promise but has areas needing attention to enhance the dining experience.

Atmosphere seemed relaxed. Price's were high a quarter of a glass of wine and a pint of beer was $25
Stopped here to grab a quick bite to eat while waiting for the bus. It seemed pretty quiet for a nice afternoon and I had a bit of time so I ordered the mac and cheese Arancini balls which were hot, delicious and fresh and a pint of lemon, lime and bitters. The staff and atmosphere was lovely The only downside was the menu and pricing. The menu was quite plain in terms of food wise with not much to offer and if anything did happen to catch my fancy which was two things, the price for them each
After reading some unfavourable reviews on Facebook we decided to give the new owners and menu a chance, we were definitely not disappointed. My partner and I shared a meat tasting plate with a side of sweet potatoes fries, there wasn't a single item we didn't enjoy. For dessert we tried the Macha Cheesecake which was perfectly balanced, not too sweet and not too heavy. We'll definitely be returning.
