What Rick Lerio doesn't like about Ready Eddie's Cafe Hamilton Hill:
Today's lunch. After dinner in. We have take away this Pancit.. I told the person who took the order. Don't make it spicy because my children will eat it.. when my children came from school.. when they ate it.. It was still spicy.. they put black pepper in it.. maybe the person who took the order didn't listen.. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch View all feedback.
My wife and a group of friends gathered at this restaurant two nights ago. Unfortunately, my wife has been extremely ill and has been vomiting for the past 12 hours. She is currently at Fiona Stanley Emergency. I have just found out that 7 or 8 others from the same party are also feeling sick. A report will be filed with the health department for investigation. Overall, I would rate the food a 1.
Ordered two different boodle sets, All Meat and All seafood. Priced at around 125aud each. Plus lomi supah which costs around 40aud. All meat boodle taste is good especially the bistek which one could easily tell it has been marinated for a while because of the deep flavour. Also noteworthy is the grilled liempo which has a sweet savoury note into it. Was looking for a bit more juiciness on the krispy pata meat but nevertheless the crispy skin of pork lechon belly saved the day. There was this also chicken inasal which were a bit dry but tastes okay. All seafood boodle things to praise are the shrimp and calamari which were cooked great, not overcooked or whatsoever. One thing though is that I could not seem to taste the 'buttered garlic shrimp ' it was supposed to be. The crispy tilapia fillet however, one would not easily tell at a first glance that those were fish they tastes okay though. Lastly, the chili crab, this disappointed me big time as I have been looking forward to it. I am not sure how these were cooked but it would be great if they take some time to cook it well. Plus not sure what is the purpose of incorporating batter on the crab, simply boiling it then tossing it to the sauce would have been perfect. Lomi This was good with lots of toppings and the largest serving would probably already feed 4 5 people. Halo halo The saving glory of the whole experience. Brings me back to the filipino dish flavors. Mastery of flavor 2.5/5 Ambience 4/5 Staff Congeniality 3.5/5 Value for money 2/5 Overall, I might still give it one more try in the future. Just hoping they take time to read feedbacks from these reviews to further improve as I see they are slowly slipping to the quality of Filipino food they originally served.
