We stopped in just for dessert and we're made so welcome by the lovely staff. Very open and breezy spot, lovely looking menu, on the higher priced side. I will be back to try more. View all feedback.
What Marcellus Weissnat doesn't like about The Old Crow:
Considering that we went on a public holiday, it was unsatisfactory for the kind of service and food provided There was a good half an hour wait for my buttermilk chicken burger and my partner's Greek beef burger. The presentation of the meal was less appealing than I thought. I was anticipating a buttermilk taste to my chicken burger, but sadly there was none. The chicken meat was too dry, coupled with tasteless col... View all feedback.
Had dinner here after a recomendation. eating was decent, although I expected a lil more from what others mentioned here, I think the menu has changed so that some of the old favorites are no longer available. large portion sizes make a good buck for in comparison to many other restaurants out there.
As the other commentary of reviews, this place is definitiw now nothing like the old old old crow very short menu, friendly but unophisticated service (Brussels sprouts were introduced as edible color as tasty picture language as the others have already been mentioned, we were informed about the change of management at an instant. that sat strange with me; when they buy a business, it is name and it call, they do not work hard to replicate the experience and quality people are used so that they return in the future? it felt a bit like they were talking out before we started eating at all, was actually ok (lamb shoulder) but expensive for what it was probably not going to hit back.
This restaurant was recommended, but we discovered that the administration has changed. they assured us that the classics from the old menu were the same as the dirty kartoffels, but one of our groups said it was completely different when it came out. we all have different netzens and found them a bit bland for the price except the pigglock that was great. I was not unhappy with the meal, but for the price I would not go back there
The flavours of our dishes were nice but not spectacular, we could have done better at home. For starters, the vegetable pakoras were tasty but very oily and were served on a bed of coleslaw which was a strange picture. As a sweet chilli connoisseur I was a left a little disappointed by a sugar syrup infused with bits of chilli. The slow cooked beef cheeks were a legacy of the old-Old Crow days and captured its spirit but the presentation was amateur and nothing like its predecessor. Get the chef to look at the old pictures on social media and try to replicate that. The chocolate fondant dessert was sold as the greatest dish on earth but in reality it was simply a nicely baked cake. The...read more
Went for breakfast at The Old Crow last Sunday and was quite disappointed. It started when our coffee orders were mixed up, I ordered a skinny latte and my friend a flat white with almond milk I got a latte with almond milk and my friend the flat white. When we corrected the order, the girl was apologetic and came back the second time with the correct drink for my friend but gave me a macchiato. We had ordered our breakfast already, I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon, tomato a side of avocado and my friend ordered the bruschetta with feta and basil pesto drizzle a side of chorizo. The dishes came out separately (I had half finished my dish before my friends came) and my friends...read more
